Sprucing Up my BBC Master

We've been in our new house for a few months now, so it's high time that I made use of my study room and started doing some retrocomputing! My BBC Master which was packed away as a result of space concerns has been pulled out of storage, but is in need of some serious sprucing up. Thankfully, RetroClinic are on hand to help! With that in mind, I'll be doing the following to it....

Getting "Yellow River Kingdom" Working on RISC OS Pico

I recently got my copy of RISC OS Pico, and the very first thing that I wanted to try was running some software from the BBC Welcome Disc. Now, my favourite item on there was a game called Yellow River Kingdom. You are in charge of a village, and each turn involves allocating resources to defence, farming, and so on. Your population withers or flourishes as a result.

Cascade 50: Noughts and Crosses ?!

Right, so I fired up my tape drive, and up next, we seemed to be loading “NOU”. The only thing I could think of was the word “Nougat”. Had Cascade somehow contrived to create a game based on confectionery? It was one hell of a long tape load, so I was expecting greatness. Oh, Cascade how you taunt me with omens of goodness!
